Oxford Bus Company has been named Oxfordshire’s Bus Company of the Year at the South West England Prestige Awards.
The accolade reflects Oxford Bus Company’s continued growth and expansion.
The Prestige Awards recognise outstanding businesses which have demonstrated ‘excellence, innovation and exceptional customer service over the past 12 months’.
An independent judging panel assesses nominees based on customer reviews, quality of service, value for money, and consistency of performance.
The award win comes as Oxford Bus Company starts an exciting new adventure as part of Go Thames Valley.
Bringing together Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Carousel Buses, Pulhams, Pearces Coaches and City Sightseeing Oxford, the new Go Thames Valley identity better reflects the scale and diversity of the group following significant network growth and expansion.
Owned by parent company The Go-Ahead Group, the rebrand was also done in preparation for the pending local government reorganisation which will change the make-up of local transport stakeholder authorities.
Luke Marion, Managing Director of Go Thames Valley, said: “This award win reflects our position as a market leader regionally and our excellent service across several counties.
“The award is also the result of a constant team effort to maintain exceptional standards across all aspects of the business, including our hard-working drivers, engineers and operations team.
“Recognition arrives at an exciting time for Oxford Bus Company and our sister businesses with the launch of Go Thames Valley.
“We hope customers will be able to smoothly navigate the changes associated with local government restructure and although we have a new overarching brand, each operating company will retain its established brand, including websites, emails and social media channels.”
